This is a picture of Dawn. Dawn saw a news article about our Kind Kid Challenge – Soles For Souls. She came all the way from Ashland (which is about 45 minutes away from our school) to drop shoes off! We did not get a chance to meet her because we were in class, but my mom did, and said she was super nice!

Our School Assembly
WOW!! It’s hard to believe how amazing our day at school went! We had an assembly for Soles for Souls. Ms. Stephanie Hathaway from the Soles4Souls organization came and spoke to the whole school (yep, everyone in the school!) about where the shoes are going.
Lets Talk Shoes!
Last week, we got to meet with the Superintendent, Dr. Daugherty, and School Board member, Mrs. Carrie Coyner. They came to see what was going on, and even brought in some shoes to donate. We have decided that 1000 shoes is not going to be enough. There are so many people we can help, so our new goal is 2000 pairs of shoes…yep, that’s right, we think we can get 2000 pairs. We are asking for help from the community, and can’t wait to see what happens. We have learned that people love to help if given the chance. If you want to see how the visit with Dr. Daugherty and Mrs. Carrie Coyner went, check it out here.
Shoes, Shoes, Shoes
Things have been really exciting at our school! We quickly passed our original goal, and had to make a new shoe meter to measure the amount of shoes coming in for Soles4Souls. Everyone has been so kind, and the shoes just keep on coming! More and more everyday! Lets help as many people as we can!
